The Second Willis Drummond 'fisticuffs?!'

October marked off a productive month for OMU (unlike September - when .V. Kent and .Willis D2 almost came to fisticuffs!).  A new peace lovin unit (fresh out of the studio) started workin live once again and... whadya know - the band got tighter?!?  Rumors of a Halloween show have thus far amounted to an .Oct. 26th at Subterranean, but keep your Eyes.Wide.Open for .the latest.

The Unusual Suspects (the up-coming OMU project - in case you haven't heard) is nearly completed.  The tracks were recently finalized and some were posted for your taste-testing (sorry, no vinegarette ) here on the site - hear them.

Verbal Kent/Mister Burns/Willis Drummond2The new disk (release Xpected December) features the formerly - proclaimed -_Don't Blink/.Grey Area51/.Infinite Black - newly - self - proclaimed -_Verbal Kent/.Mister Burns/.Willis Drummond2 (what?!) on eight bumpin tracks that'll make _Verbal's grandmama's hair turn blonde.  Anyway, you need to peep it especially if you thought the_first album was too unconventional.*  Backing the Suspects the time is three different Chicago producers, including His-PANIK of the_MOLEMEN.

* Speaking of the_first album, check out the_latest review given this month by_Rebirth Magazine.

Greetings Finite.

December!?  2001!?   YEAR-END??!!  Can anyone tell me where 2000 went?  Well, November is present and big as life.

Must haves:
The Unusual Suspects (OMU)
Stankonia - Outkast
Supermodified - Amon Tobin
Royal Astronomy - M-Ziq (Music)
Discontinudity - Continuum

So I hope you all enjoyed our shows thus far.  Saturday, November 4th at The Note.  Pretty good, if not, excellent.   Energy was up, the crowd was fairly dense, and attitudes were positive.  The show went off without a hitch.   Sunday, November 5th was at Rapture.   Crowd was much thicker, but we rocked it.  Personally, I was vibin' with my peeps on the main floor.  (Thanks for responding!)  Energy was up, but the stage was puny! Flipped it anyway, yo.

The one thing I don't like is this "cool" attitude that heds front with.  If you paid to see a show, then let's have a show.  The performer can only do so much, besides it is a 2 - way street.

We're personally prepping up for an all-ages show, at which I'd like to add, that will have a few surprises.  Peep if you can!  Wednesday November 22, Thanksgiving eve, 7:00pm, 2606 W North Ave.   (S.A.T.A.)  All ages, 21 to drink, plus ladies free!!!  I want to see all of you there!!!  I'll find you and hunt you down if you aren't!!!

Oh!  I peeped this group called The Project at Heartland Cafe.  Unbelievable!  Look out for them cats.   Organic Hip-hop, free jazz funk, improvisational cool music.

If you're wondering, I'm doing pretty crappy.  Some say stress I say less.  Man, anyway, I hope you (yes, you) are doing good.  Again, thanks for all the support and keep peepin it out!

Freshly squeezed organics!

Hed bursteth milk o' magnesium, peace
Peace (more than 2 fingers!)

... Well, B-Boys and B-Girls.   Let's get this started!  October 2000: If you have not peeped Fat Jack's Cater To The DJ (2 Disk) you're sleeping!  That's how my day goes at work, you know, cater to the customer.  But with Fat Jack's masterful melange of dope track paired off with dope lyric is just the shiznittle - bam!  That and, of course, both my pre-release copies of the brand spiznakin' new Organic Mind Unit release - The Unusual Suspects - and the new Continuum Release - Discontinudity.

The Unusual Suspects is the new Chicago Hip-Hop.  Actually it's the new hip hop for 2001, period.   This CD is so unlike Organic Mind Unit's first CD, you may not realize both CD's are from the same artist!  Bomb after bomb hits the listener right from the get-go, so infectious your thoughts will be shaken from the hed knod!

Check your local stores or order your copy via the web site.  Expected drop date is December/January.  Favorite Track: number 5

Continuum is left-sided, abstract hip hop that's as hip hop easy on the imagination as it is on the ears (and that's not even the 1/2 of it!).  Continuum is up-sided, basic hip hop, hip hop yet it has this bark to it.  I don't know! Just go peep it!  You will not be disappointed, I guarantee!  Hip hop yo!

Expected drop date: January/February 2001.  Favorite Track: number 8

Thanks for your time and thanks to Moebius Stripper (Loud Zoo) and Bare Patch for flowing the pre-release CD.  Thanks to the Unusual Suspects for flowing their pre-release CD!

Hed Burst Milk, peace
