Three Years ago, the decision was collectively made by the quadrant to vote man.  To see talented MC's capture a crowd with a DJ behind them can be moving.   These two components alone are enough to represent the skills of the performers without argument.

That's how it's been.

The math of it, though, is worked out in our heads like this:   Expression of mouth is powerful.  Expression of a musical ability, meaning the direct use of instruments by other 'human beings' is just as powerful.  To some it is even more.

Thesis: Combine speech with live music.  The combination of the two creates expression that is unexplainable.  A bond that is tight.  Rhythmic.   Captivating.
